    • Grant appears to be in line...

Grant appears to be in line for the fifth wideout spot in 2018, Andy Cohen of the Dolphins' official site reports.

Analysis: Grant hauled in 13 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns in 2017. However, 10 of those receptions -- totaling 188 yards -- came in the finals four games of the season. His late season success could translate into heightened 2018 role, and he's expected to retain the return duties he manned last season as well. Still, it likely won't be enough to hoist Grant into the weekly fantasy realm, especially without a secure quarterback situation.

Ford (knee) is healthy and will battle for a depth position during training camp, Andy Cohen of the Dolphins' official site reports.

Analysis: Ford racked up back-to-back, 1000-plus yard seasons in college before entering the NFL in 2017, but knee surgery derailed his entire rookie campaign. Head coach Adam Gase pointed out the improvements Ford has made while preparing for the 2018 season. Therefore, with a sixth wideout position up for grabs in Miami, the Virginia Tech product will be given every opportunity to take it.

Myers kicked field goals with the backup units throughout minicamp, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Analysis: It was clear that snagging a starting gig wouldn't be easy for Myers after the Seahawks pegged a $600,000 signing bonus onto veteran kicker Sebastian Janikowski's one-year deal. That sum of cash rivals Myers entire contract -- $705,000 for one season. Therefore, Myers has so much more to prove than Janikowski, and this battle looks to drag out through preseason.

Matakevich (shoulder) is healthy and now the frontrunner to be starting ILB for the Steelers after OTAs, ESPN.com reports.

Analysis: The Steelers signed Jon Bostic, who had 97 tackles (57 solo) for the Colts last season, but it's Matakevich who stole the show during offseason workouts. Matakevich played with an edge while showing off his football instincts, and that combination makes him the likely replacement for Ryan Shazier (spine). The 2016 seventh-round pick has never played more than 60 defensive snaps in a season, however, so a solid preseason will be needed to solidify his role.

Hooker (knee) was limited in offseason workouts but the Colts feel good about his progress, Andrew Walker of Colts.com reports.

Analysis: Hooker played just seven games in his rookie season for the Colts and produced 22 tackles (16 solo), four pass breakups and three picks. The Ohio State product is expected to lock in the one of two starting safety spots along with Matthias Farley, while Clayton Geathers plays a rotational role. Still, Hooker's usage will be dependant on his health, and nothing is certain coming off late-October ACL and MCL tears.
